Sex is great. The excitement, the anticipation, the release of tension and everything else that goes with it is all good. When you find the right person (and obviously do it safely, because you’re not an idiot) it can easily become one of your favourite activities.
What’s not so great is low blood sugar.
What’s even worse is when the two go hand in hand.
To tell this story, we must go back to a time when I was feeling frivolous and flirty and one lucky girl was getting all of my attentions, until suddenly I started feeling sweaty and nervous for a different kind of reason.
Now, I speak from experience when i say asking someone to stop during sex is never an easy move, but at this time it was an essential one. Had I carried on, I would have passed out and she would have had to explain to her parents why a boy was lying naked face-down in her bedroom.
When I put it like that she became very understanding. Sadly, the pause, the Dextro tablets and the confused chatter did somewhat kill the mood. But when it comes to the choice between killing the mood or killing yourself, the mood should always come first.
I wish I could say that the only time that has happened. You live and learn, don’t you?
Having sex yourself? You tiger. Check your blood sugar first to avoid any embarrassment. If your partner isn’t a dickhead they’ll understand. If they are a dickhead (but they’re fit and you want to do it anyway), you can always sneak off and do it in private.
Let my mistakes guide you in your quest.
